Fundraiser Party for Meena Centre
Come dance the night away with us in The GAP Basement as we raise funds for our friends at Meena: The 'Unofficial' Women and Children's Centre!
Meena is a centre for asylum seeking & refugee women and children based in Hockley. Meena originated in the Calais 'Jungle', before moving to Birmingham in 2017. They are a grassroots organization and at the core of what they do is solidarity, support and empowerment. Find out more about their work here - https://www.meenacentre.org
The money we raise will go towards covering the costs of essential building renovation & travel expenses for their members to access the vital support that is offered at the centre.

Meena will also have a stall providing info on their work and selling t-shirts and other goodies.

To get to our basement, enter The Old Print Works on the right-hand side set of doors (as if going to Ort Cafe), and then make your way down the stairs (as if going to Ort toilets). Unfortunately these stairs mean that the event is not fully accessible - please get in touch if you'd like assistance or further details.
